What are Tradelines?

A tradeline is an individual account listing on your credit report. Creditors are free to use any of the details in your tradelines to better understand your financial situation. Tradelines can stay on your report for at least seven years. Positive tradelines stay longer than negative. A credit tradeline is an appearance on your credit report of an account you have established with a lender. Tradelines can  include detailed information about the account, including payment history.
